A paver is only as good as what's under it.
Anyone can lay pavers on sand. Ours stay flat because of the part you never see: a compacted, graded base that handles Houston's expansive clay and moves water away instead of trapping it. We build the base right, set the pavers tight and finish the edges so they don't creep.

The pattern is what you see, but the base is what you walk on. Every paver job starts by digging out and building a base the clay can't push around.
Dig it out
Old soil and grass come out to the right depth, and the ground is graded so water runs away from the house.
Compact the base
Base material goes down in layers and is compacted until it is firm and level.
Set the pavers
Pavers are laid tight to the pattern, cut to the edges and locked in with edging.

Not when the base is built right. We compact and grade a proper base and set solid edging, which is exactly what keeps pavers flat in Houston's clay.
Each has its place. Pavers flex with ground movement and are easy to repair; concrete is seamless and often cheaper. We'll help you choose at the consultation.
We can select finishes and colors that stay cooler and offer good grip, and we'll account for sun and use when we design the space.
