My husband and I hired Chris Helms to add drainage in our backyard and install a garden along our backyard fence-line. Chris was responsive and timely in returning calls/texts, sending price estimates, and answering our questions. He was also competitively priced, extremely conscientious, flexible, really listened to what I wanted and tried to do everything he could to help us realize our vision for our garden, and, overall, his team did really beautiful work. My wife and I were extremely happy with the outcome of our outdoor project. We had Helms Landscape work on both our front and back yards with installation of artificial turf, blackstone gravel and placement of additional drainage systems. Helms Landscaping Design installed artificial turf in an area on my property that gets too much shade to grow grass and becomes nothing but a weed nightmare. I spoke to different companies and decided to go with Chris because he LISTENED. He was honest about what things would not work in my space because it does not get much sunlight, but also provided solutions and options we liked. After Harvey, our house was being worked on for over 8 months, leaving our small Downtown front yard looking terrible. Chris and his crew did an outstanding job! We hired him to replace our backyard grass with turf and to demo and replace our existing patio with 3×3 concrete pavers and turf between them. He did some landscaping for us as well. We are quite picky, and anything we approached Chris with he was happy to accommodate. Always on time, very responsive, cleaned up at the end of each day. I live in an apartment and have a small dog. I fenced in the ends so that she could have a place to play and get outside without me. We had no grass because the trees didn’t let in enough sunlight for the grass to grow. Then we heard about Chris Helms and his “magic” artificial turf.
